48+ photoshop keyboard shortcuts
Thanks to the folks over at 1stwebdesigner.com for this list of must-know photoshop shortcuts.

Global keyboard shortcuts
1.You can check all Your preferences pressing CTRL + K and learn more.
2. Press TAB - to show/hide tool panels;
3. Press SHIFT + TAB to show/hide only Your palette;
4. Press F repeatedly to cycle screen modes;
5. Press CTRL + TAB to switch to Your next document;
6. Press CTRL + SHIFT + TAB to switch to Your previous document;
7. Press CTRL + T to enter free transform mode
I can’t tell you how much I use the CTRL + T shortcut. If you don’t already use shortcuts, do yourself a favor and learn a couple a week. It really does save you time when designing.

the king’s classic logo
I think some brand redesings today fall short or don’t measure up to the brand they are replacing. Burger King is a good example. Don’t get me wrong, the new brand is not bad, it’s just that the original one was timeless. It makes me wonder if they knew it was a classic logo when they designed it. See for yourself:

pantone chip painting
Found over at swissmiss:
A reproduction of Édouard Manet’s ‘Bar at the Folies Bergere’ made entirely of old Pantone chips. Over 5,000 unused chips were painstakingly colour matched and and stuck down over four long nights, and acted as centre piece for a boozey party in our design studio. By Tim Fraser Brown.
